Here are a bunch of poems and essays I wrote when I was in 6th grade. I was only 11 years old and I used the word "zealous." I just looked it up... The original versions are all on my computer, which is my first computer, and I used like a million different colors and fonts on each one. I had a computer before (I was the only one that used it) that we bought from my cousin, but it was an old Apple computer without internet, just some educational Microsoft games, word processor, and the ability to insert a floppy disk. I remember it only had two games: #1- I forgot what it is called; It was about a frog who ate words that had to do with a certain theme. Then suddenly this monster would come out and you had to get away from it, but you had to be careful to eat the right words. On the harder levels, the monster's friends would help get me. #2- A tutorial on typing. To me it was fun.

The Greatest Birthday Ever A breath-taking birthday party, for me, would be a birthday that would get
you soaked!!! First of all, I would definitely have this birthday party at my house
because I already have a swimming pool, a water slide, and a diving board. The
only thing that I would probably have to rent would be a dunk tank. Those are
only the big things that would be at my birthday party.
Now let me tell you what would happen at my birthday bash. When all of
my guest would arrive the party would begin! The party would begin by letting
my guests go wherever they wanted. For example, they could play with the dunk
tank, swim, and boogie to the music! After a few hours we would have a
WATER FIGHT!!!!!! Girls against boys with only water guns and water balloons.
When we were done having the war, we would eat cake, ice cream, (vanilla,
strawberry, chocolate, and cookie dough) and cheeseburgers from IN & OUT
with of course soda (not in the burger, but separately). After we did all these
exciting activities we would break a piñata filled with Mexican candy.
When it was about 5:00 p.m., there would be a fireworks show that you
could see from my house. Right after the show the party would be over.
When everybody left I would open my presents. All of my gifts would be
great. They would be everything I ever wanted.
This birthday party would be great. But I think maybe next year’s party
could be even better. I could do a movie sleepover party………..
(This is a poem comparing myself to my brother.)I…I go to school to learn,
He goes to school to succeed.
I swim to practice,
He swims for fun.
I listen to know,
He listens to learn.
I run to get strong,
He runs to play.
I read for fun,
He reads to get better at it.
I draw to be an artist,
He draws for fun.
I go on vacation to relax,
He goes on vacation to have fun.
I write for school,
He writes to learn how to write better.
(This is a persuasive essay written to convince my parents to get a dog. I did this for school.)A DOG FOR A PET Do you know what will get my brother and I off the T.V.? I know. A dog will. Instead of my brother and I watching TV, we would be playing with the dog. Playing with the dog is much healthier than watching TV because you are getting exercise. A dog can help me, and especially my brother, become even more responsible and patient. For example, it takes a lot of time for a dog to learn new tricks and for it to learn to understand you.
I deserve a dog! I get really good grades like A+’s on everything! I have accomplished to get a 4.0 grade (which is the highest you can get) and even Student of the month!! I think I am smart enough to own a dog! Don’t you?
You will not have to worry much about the dog in view of the fact that I will be responsible for it. I will feed it everyday or whenever I have to, so that you won’t have to even worry about it. I will also clean up after it. In fact, it’ll be fun! We can do a hunt (Don’t worry, I was just kidding!). I will also take it for walks. We will all get plenty of exercise everyday. I will also take my time and give it the attention it wants. I think my brother will want to do that. I know it will be fun!
Hey! I’ve always wanted a dog ever since I was about five. In all the neighborhoods I’ve been to, there are at least two people that own a dog. Sometimes I ask myself why I don’t have a dog. So really a dog is something that can cheer us up a bit!
A dog means happiness and education. This can help us a ton! We really need a dog! We can get a dog we all like. What about a Schnauzer? Remember that I will bathe it, play with it, and even take it for walks. I know how much responsibility it is and I think I am now old enough to have it. Don’t you?
A dog means many possibilities. Remember always, that a dog means love, happiness, and education. If we have a dog we can do many more things than we can now. I hope you now know how important a dog is.
(This is a poem about me using "candy" as a theme.) I AM...I am a sweet girl that loves to eat sweets!
I wonder how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
I hear a hard Rock Pop.
I see the wonderful, delicious Candy land.
I want to live a sweet life with no sour people.
I am a sweet girl that loves to eat sweets!
I pretend to walk on the ceiling.
I feel like a lollipop, sweet, quiet, and always in different colors.
I touch a soft cotton candy flavored cloud.
I worry about getting stuck in life.
I cry when something very important in my life fades away.
I am a sweet girl that loves to eat sweets!
I understand you should be thankful for whatever you have.
I say that life without love is like a candy store that doesn’t sell candy.
I dream of flying through the sweet, clear sky.
I try my best at everything, especially at school.
I hope I can make all of my dreams come true.
I am a sweet girl that loves to eat sweets!
